PORTFOLIO

Kitchen Interior Design Portfolio

A well-designed kitchen doesn’t just look good — it makes daily cooking faster, storage easier, and the whole space easier to keep clean.

Since 2015, Unique Interior & Design has completed kitchen interior projects across Dhaka — from narrow galley kitchens in compact apartments to fully modular L-shaped and U-shaped kitchens in larger homes. Every project in this portfolio is a real delivered kitchen, built and handed over to a real family.

What Our Kitchen Designs Cover

Cabinet Layout & Storage Systems

— We design upper and lower cabinets to your kitchen’s exact dimensions. Pull-out drawers, corner units, bottle racks, and overhead storage are planned based on your actual cooking habits — not a standard template.

Countertop Selection — Granite and quartz remain the most practical choices for Dhaka kitchens. Both resist heat, scratches, and the humidity that ruins cheaper surfaces within a few years. We help clients choose based on budget, usage intensity, and finish preference.

Kitchen Layouts We Execute:

  • L-Shaped — The most common layout in Dhaka apartments. Efficient workflow, good counter space, suits small to medium kitchens.
  • U-Shaped — Maximum storage and counter space. Works well in dedicated kitchen rooms with sufficient floor area.
  • Straight/Galley — Best for narrow kitchens. One or two parallel walls with everything within arm’s reach.
  • Open Kitchen — Combined with the dining or living area. Requires careful ventilation and material selection to manage cooking odours.

Materials Built for Bangladesh’s Climate — Humidity is the main enemy of Dhaka kitchens. We specify moisture-resistant MDF or marine plywood carcasses, high-pressure laminate (HPL) or PU-finished shutters, and stainless steel or granite countertops — materials that hold up through monsoon seasons, not just look good in photos.

Kitchen Lighting — Under-cabinet task lighting, recessed ceiling lights above the work zone, and proper ventilation placement are designed into every project. Good kitchen lighting is functional, not decorative.

Kitchen Design Styles We Deliver

Modern Minimalist — Handleless shutters, clean lines, and neutral or white tones. Works well in open-plan layouts and smaller kitchens where visual simplicity makes the space feel larger.

Contemporary Warm — Wood-tone laminate finishes paired with stone countertops. The most requested kitchen style across our Dhaka residential projects.

Classic Two-Tone — Upper cabinets in a lighter shade, lower cabinets in a darker tone. Adds depth and a structured look to medium and large kitchens.

Frequently Asked Questions

A basic modular kitchen fit-out in Dhaka — carcasses, shutters, countertop, and hardware — typically starts from BDT 1.5–2.5 lakh for a small kitchen. Mid-range projects with better finishes and full storage systems run BDT 3–6 lakh. Premium kitchens with quartz countertops and imported hardware can go higher. We prepare a detailed BOQ before any commitment.

A standalone kitchen project takes 15–25 days from site handover, depending on scope and material availability. If it's part of a full apartment fit-out, the kitchen is typically sequenced within the 45–90 day overall timeline.

Marine plywood or moisture-resistant MDF for carcasses, combined with HPL or PU-finish shutters, gives the best long-term performance in Dhaka's humidity. Particle board is cheaper but swells and delaminates within 2–3 years in our climate — we don't recommend it for kitchen carcasses.

Yes. Most of our kitchen projects work within fixed plumbing and gas line positions. We optimise the cabinet layout, storage configuration, and finishing around the existing structure — without requiring expensive civil changes unless the client specifically wants them.
