This 6000 sqft full residence in Kalkini, Madaripur, belongs to S M Hanif, Mayor of Kalkini Municipality. He’s also one of the clients featured on our homepage testimonials, where he describes the process as simple and the result as exactly what he envisioned.

The brief covered the entire home: living room, dining room, kitchen, multiple bedrooms, a family lounge, and a dedicated study and book area. A project this size meant designing for a large family living under one roof — every room needed its own identity while still feeling part of one connected home.

Design Approach

We built the design around a warm, traditional-meets-modern feel that suits a family home of this scale. Wood-toned furniture anchors most rooms, paired with layered lighting that shifts from bright and functional in the kitchen to soft and ambient in the bedrooms and lounge.

For finishes, we used wood veneer detailing on key furniture pieces and warm-toned laminate across storage units and panelling, keeping the palette consistent room to room. This gives the home a cohesive look without making every space feel identical — each room still has its own character.

Formal Living Room

The formal living room centers on an anchor sofa set with a statement centerpiece light fixture above it, setting the tone for guests as soon as they walk in.

Book & Study Area

A quiet corner with built-in shelving, designed for a family that wanted a dedicated reading and study space — not just a leftover corner of a bedroom.

Dining Room

The dining room is one of the most detailed spaces in this project. It’s built for a large family — generous seating, warm lighting over the table, and finishes that hold up to daily use without losing their look over time. This is the largest gallery segment in the project, and it shows in the finished result.

Family Lounge

A relaxed, shared space separate from the formal living room — somewhere the family actually spends time together day to day, styled with comfortable seating and softer lighting than the more formal areas of the home.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom is the largest room segment in the entire project. It’s designed as a true private retreat, with custom wardrobe work, layered lighting, and a calmer material palette than the shared spaces.

Guest Bedroom

A well-finished guest room that doesn’t feel like an afterthought — comfortable, neutral, and ready for extended family or visitors at any time.

Kitchen

The kitchen is designed for a household that cooks daily, not occasionally. Functional storage and practical lighting come first, without sacrificing the warmth that runs through the rest of the home.

Girls’ Bedroom

A dedicated girls’ bedroom rounds out the bedroom spaces, styled to fit the rest of the home’s warm, family-first character.
